Winter Happenings 2015-2016
Can you believe that we’re into the second week of December and there are only 2 more Saturdays until the big day! Ho, Ho, Ho….
As of this blog post, we’re just about halfway through our 12 Days of Christmas! This is lots of fun for us and fantastic for you as on 12 different days we have something different for sale for a really great deal. One day it might be sweaters, another day it might be Joseph Ribkoff dresses, but you don’t get to find out until each morning by email! If you’re on our email list you should be getting one each morning by 7:30 letting you know the special deal, so sign up for email if you’re not on it! We also post it on FB so visit our page if you don’t get the emails. It’s your perfect chance to get a fabulous piece of fashion at a great deal! The exceptions are it has to be in the store so no special orders, and no holds or lay-a-ways.
On top of that, we have other amazing December SALES AND PROMOS going on! Now’s definitely the time to pick out a great pair of boots…ankle, calf and tall. Get up to 50% off! And we have a great selection of coats and jackets to keep you warm and looking fashionable. Even better – there’s a selection sale priced for you and yours! Of course we have a fabulous selection of handbags as well – Nine West, Frank Lyman, Anne Klein – priced at $39.99 to $49.99, regular to $125! Lots of great deals to be had in December!
Right now the store is all glitzed up and ready for the holiday season. Party dresses are here, gowns, dresses, and tops from all our favorite people. And don’t forget to enter our Downtown Business Pole-apalooza draw. Thirty-eight downtown businesses have decorated up a “North Pole” and donated an item to go into a big gift basket someone is going to win just before Christmas. It could be you!
And of course we’ve been busy shopping for you and everyone on your list so the store is just brimming with wonderful fashions from our key hot companies, the likes of Joseph Ribkoff, Sympli, Frank Lyman, French Dressing, Jana, Cut Loose, bryn Walker, Nygard, Niki Biki, Simon Chang, and so many more!
Our lingerie department continues to be the talk of the Island with clients from Victoria to Campbell River, Port Alberni and Tofino, and let’s not forget the rest of BC!. Marlies Dekkers lingerie continues to win everyone’s love with their very, very distinctive fit and sex appeal. This is one bra that will amaze you in every way!
And I can’t forget about our men’s SAXX when mentioning our lingerie department. Our selection is fabulous – we even have the Christmas lights print for you! Perfect stocking stuffers for you and him!
This fall we were thrilled to have added Empreinte and Lise Charmel to our fabulous selection of lingerie. These European bras fit like no other and both have many years of expertise dedicated to today’s women and their well-being. They will flatter your figure day after day and you will wonder where they have been all your life.
Our newest colour in our Marie Jo Avero is a gorgeous red, with matching panties of course! Perfect to gift wrap from your special someone. Did you know that there is a Marie Jo Avero sold every minute? It is definitely one of our favorite bras. Comfy, sexy and truly beautiful!
Our shoe department continues to rock… Fly London, Cougar, Blondo, Bernie Mev, Mephisto, Vionics, Harley Davidson, France Mode and Arcepedico to name just a few. This fall, after our buying trip to Vegas, we added a wonderful new shoe line out of California. Super comfortable foot bed, the right amount of sparkle and a heel that isn’t too high. There’s gold, black and silver styles just waiting for you to wear for that special occasion. Thanks so much to Cynthia, former owner of CJs for introducing us to the line!
As for our events, last month our Joseph Ribkoff Trunk Show was another great success. Lucky Jeri was the winner of the $100 gift certificate! The special orders are already arriving and we are planning another for the spring! And the amazing What Women Want 2016 show is scheduled for March 2016. This event will sell out long before the event and there is a plethora of door prizes! Tickets are only $25.00. Call us to reserve yours now. Great Christmas gift.
Finally, a thank you to all our amazing clients, friends, and family. The fall season has again been fabulous for us and, if you can believe it, we are starting our 25th year! We started as a tiny little store and over the years we moved 4 times, each time bigger than the last. I’ve told many of our clients and friends that the Close To You logo is etched in our floor by the door as my promise to Gil that he would never have to move us again! lol Watch for announcements of a celebration in 2016 to celebrate this true milestone for any small business to achieve! I think we should do it up good, don’t you?
