New Season, New You

Warmer weather and a change of seasons have us all looking for new pieces to add to our closets. Collections are bursting throughout, colours are garden fresh with a combination of muted and splash!

Sympli, Joseph Ribkoff, Frank Lyman, Cartise, French Dressing, Nygard, Papa Fashions, Cut Loose, Bryn Walker, Chalet…today’s style is loose and flowing or following your curves. It’s everything and anything that compliments “your style, shape and lifestyle”. No need to feel restricted or confined if that’s not your cup of tea. Current styles give women freedom to move and feel comfortable while also being beautiful and flattering. Whatever your style is, whatever it is that helps make you feel the most gorgeous version of you, at Close To You there is a fabulous collection of fashions that would be perfect for you.

That said, from day to day, your style needs change and we know you need to be able to change your style depending on the situation. Our spring weather has its say on what we wear, events we’re attending require certain styles, and of course how we want to feel in the moment guides are fashion choices. We understand this completely because we’re making these same decisions right along with you, and so we choose our fashion collections to reflect this need. Our diversity of styles and understanding of these needs is something that makes us unique. We work hard to bring you fashions that accommodate whatever the day, event or mood requires to make you feel and look your best, no matter what you’re doing.

And what are the hot colors for spring? According to Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director at the Pantone Color Institute, “Colors this season transport us to a happier, sunnier place where we feel free to express a wittier version of our real selves.” And how does that actually translate to colors to wear? This season’s top 10 colors are rose quartz, peach echo, serenity, snorkel blue, buttercup, limpet shell, lilac gray, fiesta, iced coffee, & green flash. Vivid colors showing optimism and quieter colors bringing a sense of calm and stability. Check out what the Pantone Color Institute has to say about the top 10 colors for spring 2016 and what they actually look like here.

Fashion is such a funny thing though, isn’t it? No matter if you consider yourself a fashion diva and love glamming it up and following the latest trends, or you’re most comfortable in a pair of comfy jeans and a nice sweater, and every style in between, you’re making a statement in some way, telling the world a little bit about yourself. With that in mind, whatever fashion means to you, we hope you come by and see what we have to offer.  The team at Close To You all have our own different styles, but above all else, we love to help you feel like your favorite version of you. See you soon!
